1. Gambling Risk
Gambling involves a risk of loss. Blackjack has a house edge and, over time, most players will lose money. Never wager funds you cannot afford to lose. See Responsible Gaming.
2. Cryptocurrency Volatility
Although USDT aims to maintain a 1:1 peg with the US dollar, it is not guaranteed. The value of USDT relative to your local currency, or to the US dollar itself, can fluctuate. Tether Ltd. and its reserves are outside our control.
3. Blockchain Risk
Blockchain networks are third-party infrastructure. They can experience congestion, high fees, forks, reorgs, outages, and consensus failures. These events can delay or interrupt deposits, withdrawals, and settlement.
4. Wallet and Key Risk
You are responsible for the security of your external wallet, private keys, and recovery phrases. Loss of those materials will result in loss of your funds. TethBet cannot recover funds you send from a wallet you no longer control.
5. Custodial Risk
While in your TethBet balance, funds are held in custody by TethBet. Although we operate a tiered hot/warm/cold custody model with reconciliation and multi-signature controls, no custody is risk-free. See Treasury Policy.
6. Smart Contract and Third-Party Risk
USDT is an issuer-controlled token. Tether Ltd. can, in principle, freeze balances at specific addresses under legal or contractual obligations, which may affect deposits or withdrawals.
7. Regulatory Risk
The regulatory environment for crypto-native gaming is evolving. Laws in your jurisdiction may change with little notice, and TethBet may be required to restrict, suspend, or terminate services in your jurisdiction. See Restricted Jurisdictions.
8. Security Risk
Despite layered controls, systems can be compromised. Use unique strong passwords, enable two-factor authentication, and never share credentials or session tokens.
9. Tax Risk
Winnings, losses, and crypto transactions may have tax consequences that you are solely responsible for reporting and paying.
10. Acknowledgement
By using TethBet you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these risks.
